| Hip hop legend Afrika Bambaataa has been named a visiting scholar at Cornell University Library’s Hip Hop Collection for what is being announced as a three-year term. The legendary DJ/rapper, who founded the Zulu Nation, will visit the campus each year for several days to meet with certain classes.
Bambaataa will also be talking to student and community groups and will also be performing for the student body. Bambaataa’s appointment is the first faculty appointment for a hip hop pioneer of his stature at a major university. |
