Footage surfaced this week of up-and-coming Chicago rapper Lil Reese viciously beating and stomping a woman after an argument. While he was initially dismissive of the subsequent backlash, yesterday (October 26th), Reese tweeted an apology.
“Everybody makes mistakes I was out of character & I’ve grown sense then Don’t judge me for my past i can admit my wrongs and I apologize.#3hunna,” he tweeted.
Nonetheless, the woman that was attacked in the footage issued her own statement chastising the rapper:”JUST TO LET EVERYBODY KNOW THAT SEEN THAT VIDEO OF ME FIGHTING LIL REESE ITS OLD AND DUMB IT WAS LAST YEAR AND JUST TO LET EVERY MUTHAF*KA KNOW WHO THINK HE DID SOMETHING RIGHT NO HE DID NOT ALL I DID WAS ASK THEM MUF*KAS POLITLY TO GET OUT OF MY CRIB AND HE WENT CRAZY PUTTING HIS HANDS ON ME SO I HIT HIS A** BACK IF WHO S I GET DISRESPECTED BY NO ONE AND SO YEA THEY JUMPED ME HIM ANOTHER N*GGA ANT HIS SISTER H*LL YEA WE FAUGHT AND THATS THAT BUT ALL I SAY IS A N*GGA WHO FIGHT FEMALES IS ONE THEMSELF…..#ONE WORD P*SSY!!!”
