Djsdoingwork.com: What was it like hearing Kanye West shout you out in a song?
King Louie: It felt good. It was motivation really. It was the type of shit that can keep you going.
Djsdoingwork.com: Speak to us about the mixtape “Showtime” and the single “Val Venis”
King Louie: “Showtime” dropped a few months ago. You can go get that off livemixtapes.com right now. And the single “Val Venis,” it really just came to me one day. We’re getting ready to drop the video for it this month.
Djsdoingwork.com: When it come to Chicago, a few names jump out like Chief Keef and Rockie Fresh. Do you ever feel overlooked?
King Louie; (Laughs) Never. Come to Chicago and ask that same question and you’ll hear who’s name pops up first.
