This makes sense in so many ways. The last few off-seasons, the Los Angeles Lakers, who are normally big players in free-agency came up short for every big name player on the market.
Why have big names steered away from L.A.? Well, a few agents feel like they have the answer.
In a new piece by ESPN the magazine, several high-profile agents, under the cloak of anonoimity say that Kobe Bryant is the reason.
They say in the story that Bryant’s ego for the most part is what’s stopping players from coming to Los Angeles. No one wants to play with him.
And really, if you look at the players who did (Shaq, Dwight Howard, Steve Nash) and the ones who turned down the chance to play with Bean, (Lebron James, Carmello Anthony) and you might see a pattern.
