There haven’t been a ton of artists to make it out of Cincinnati, but right now there’s an up and coming talent by the name of Cook LaFlare thats gaining some buzz to rival that of Slim Jesus. After becoming the number one independent artist on MyMixtapes, Chief Keef and various other celebs have taken notice and supported the ambitious talent on Instagram and Twitter turning up in various posts online to Cook LaFlare’s music.
Since then, the Cook and Chief Keef have developed a strong relationship, completing roughly 10 songs together. With support in cities like Detroit, Michigan and having been booked in several cities in Ohio, Illinois, Louisiana, Georgia, Kentucky, and Virginia, Cook LaFlare is gaining an organic buzz with his “Jugg music movement.”
“I basically was chilling one day and someone told me that Chief Keef was playing my music on IG and so I went on there and saw it. The next morning he hit me up and he started sending me beats. Right now we are about 8 songs in and Chief Keef produce the whole tape, we gonna call the tape ‘CookSosa.'” Cook LaFlare explained.
But since releasing six mixtapes within the last six months, Cook LaFlare has spent his recent time gearing up for his collaborative release with Chief Keef. Prepping his next solo mixtape for January “Finesse James” by spending on the road doing shows, and expanding his Jugg music movement Cook has seen his fanbase grow nationwide.
Not only has the young talent from “The Nati” built a big buzz with Chief Keef, but before Future took off on Billboard charts, Cook LaFlare worked with the ATL Trap lord on “Swag All Over Me,” one of his biggest songs to date.
“It’s Jugg music because everyone don’t trap, if you working at the mall you Juggin, Whatever you do to get to the money you Juggin,” Cook said.
