I love this kid! Memeber of the Wu like collective Pro Era, Joey Badass broke out hard this year with his mixtape “1999.” A throwback to when the NYC scene more about beats, rhymes and concepts, “1999” cememnted him as one of the best new artists to come onto the scene in years. His released another mixtape called “Rejects” which was a collection of tracks that didn’t make the cut for “1999,” all great none the less. He’s made appearances on shows like Jimmy Fallon and appeared as a headliner at all the major music festivals. His star is more than on the rise. I expect huge things out of Joey and the Pro Era team in 2013.
