Looking at Master P right now, you probably wouldn’t understand the kind of weight Percy Miller once carried in the music industry. P built a $500 million dollar music and film empire during the early-2000’s. That included numerous platinum plaques from artist on his No Limit Records label, a clothing line and several box office films.
P was also known as someone who was a tough negotiator. It’s widely known that he was the only man who could sit with Suge knight and get Snoop Dog out of his contract. Safe to say, Master P was the man to go to see back in the day.
Today, Master P is in the midst of launching a new crop of emcees and working on a documentary about his life. Master P sat down with HiphopDX to speak about music, C-Murder, management and other topics. One thing that stood out in the interview was his mention of rappers who at one time attempted to join the No Limit army. According to P, Queens native Nas and Eminem at one time tried to enlist P’s services.
