Amidst the bevy of parties and celebrations happening in the Big Easy for Super Bowl, there will be a series of events offering the ultimate opportunity to “Party with a Purpose.”  New Orleans based 501c3 Non-Profit Organization, Home Mission Inc. (HMI) has partnered with hip hop heavyweights including Lil Wayne (and his NPO One Family Foundation), Scarface, DJ Khaled, and Trae tha Truth to present I.M.P.A.C.T Weekend Charity Experience January 31st – February 3rd.

I.M.P.A.C.T. Weekend is comprised of everything from celebrity-hosted events to community service projects. Other talent and brands participating include Kevin Hart, NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, Entertainment Tonight Correspondent/Host Rocsi Diaz, DJ Captain Charles, Reality TV Star Toya Wright, Saints’ Running Back Mark Ingram, Q93 Personality Juggie, DJ Demp, Light Weight Productions and Winn Dixie.  Beyond fundraising, the primary goal of I.M.P.A.C.T. Weekend is to raise public awareness about Home Mission Inc.’s various initiatives to assist the growing homeless and indigent population in New Orleans. “We hope that I.M.P.A.C.T Weekend will serve as a catalyst for the continued growth of our programs and number of people we’re able to serve,” explains Krystal M. Justice (HMI Executive Director and I.M.P.A.C.T Weekend Charity Experience Event Coordinator).

The charity, established in 1986, has been under the guidance of Justice since restructuring two years ago. Through various partnerships in the city, HMI is able to shelter, feed, clothe and provide an array of valuable services to the homeless and poverty-stricken households of New Orleans.

Popular New Orleans venue Dijon NOLA (1379 Annunciation St) will serve as home to I.M.P.A.C.T Weekend, hosting all of the events including the first community service project (Home Mission Inc.’s bi-weekly feedings).  Events are open to the public. Tickets to attend I.M.P.A.C.T Weekend are available for purchase at http://www.IMPACTWEEKEND.Eventbrite.com.  Visit http://www.SuperBowlIMPACTWeekend.com for a complete schedule of events, news, and latest updates.
