Residing in both Brooklyn and Long Island during his formative years, Yuri Joness has been rapping since the age of 19 and has been able to secure performances in New Jersey, Manhattan, Long Island, Jamaica, Queens and other surrounding areas on his way to this highly anticipated music video release.

Less than a month ago, the audio of his single “Same Dude” took off on Soundcloud as a clip of several pre-teen white kids rapping his song went viral.
While “Same Dude” was taking off in the back seat of a station wagon in white suburbia, online Yuri Joness was well on his way to amassing nearly 130,000 plays on his song, including roughly 3,000 likes and 350 re-posts on Soundcloud. That goes without mentioning his views on YouTube for the song which are approaching around half a million views combined.
“My music is nothing but smooth melodies and good vibes with a down south tempo. I think my lyrics are relatable lyrics that still keep that New York swag in it despite the melting pot of sounds,” Yuri Joness said.
“Same Dude” keeps true to his New York roots and morals as the song is about remaining true to yourself despite the the changes you may face in life both good and bad. The song has been posted on ItsBizkit and RapXclusive to name a few since its release.
“With ‘Same Dude’ I want to give people hope that one day they can be successful and still be the same person regardless of what problems money can bring. I want to prove that if you stay true to your word and don’t let anyone change your motives, you can be the ‘Same Dude,'” Yuri Joness explained.
